Counselor in Training

Our CIT (Counselor in Training) program is designed for rising Grade 10-12 students who want to build leadership skills and learn how to work with children. The CIT program is an opportunity for teens to build their resumes and strengthen their professional skills. Participants will take part in engaging workshops and hands-on training sessions, gaining the tools and confidence needed to become outstanding future camp leaders. CITs will work alongside experienced counselors, facilitating activities and working with campers. The program also includes a fun group day trip, to celebrate all their hard work. Participants can participate in one two-week session, or both.

WISummer operates Monday-Friday (unless otherwise noted), with core care provided from 8:30 AM-3:30 PM. Families may add optional Extended Day Care until 6:00 PM.

Step into leadership this summer! Our dynamic CIT Program is perfect for teens who want to build real-world skills, explore working with children, and become confident future camp leaders - all while having a ton of fun.

Designed for motivated high schoolers, this two-week experience includes leadership workshops, hands-on training, and guided practice alongside our seasoned counselors. CITs help facilitate activities, support younger campers, and learn what it takes to run a high-quality camp program from the inside out.

Expect a summer filled with creativity and adventure - leading games, organizing art and STEM projects, planning theme days, assisting with field activities, and helping our youngest campers explore global cultures. This session also includes a special CIT group day trip to celebrate everyone's growth and hard work.

CITs should have a working knowledge of French or Spanish as well as English to best support our multilingual campers. Participants may register for one or both two-week sessions - each packed with new skills, new friendships, and endless opportunities to shine.
