Spanish Camps: Beginner
Our Spanish Beginner camps are for rising Grades 1-6 campers who are new to Spanish or just beginning their language journey. Grounded in the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP), campers learn through inquiry, hands-on discovery, and purposeful play. Each week features a new theme that brings art, geography, music, dance, food, and cultural traditions to life through engaging games and creative projects - all while building Spanish language skills in a dynamic, supportive, and playful environment. Campers also work with our art and sports specialists for team-building, active games, and creative expression. Please note: Groups are mixed-age (Grades 1-6) to encourage collaboration and community, with small-group work by sub-grade, when possible.
WISummer operates Monday-Friday (unless otherwise noted), with core care provided from 8:30 AM-3:30 PM. Families may add optional Extended Day Care until 6:00 PM. Art & Architecture
This week celebrates art, design, creativity across the Spanish-speaking world. Campers will explore iconic artists, architectural styles, and cultural landmarks. Each day features engaging language learning, woven into painting, model-building, and design activities. Activities could include:

Inspired by the Masters: Paint in the style of Frida Kahlo, Diego Rivera, or Joan Miró, experimenting with color, symbolism, and expressive shapes.

Landmark Builders: Design and construct models of famous structures like Antoni Gaudi's Sagrada Familia or Machu Picchu and dream up your own architectural creation.

Art Explorations: Discover artistic traditions such as Mexican papel picado or Spanish mosaic art, then create original works inspired by them.

This week is full of imagination and expression. young performers explore the magic of storytelling and acting while practicing Spanish in a playful, creative setting. From classic tales to modern movies, campers will discover how stories come to life, all in Spanish! Activities could include:

This week is deliciously fun! Young chefs explore the flavors and culinary traditions of Spanish-speaking countries. Through cooking, tasting, and creative projects, campers discover the rich diversity of foods across Latin America and Spain. Activities could include:

Hands-On Cooking: Prepare recipes such as tortillas españolas, arepas, empanadas, or tropical fruit bowls.

Culinary Investigations: Explore where ingredients come from, and learn basic kitchen science like how heat changes food, or why dough rises.

Creative Menu Design: Craft illustrated menus, recipe cards, or "restaurant boards" to present dishes in Spanish.

Global Explorers - Around the World
This special week invites campers to "travel" across the Spanish-speaking world discovering the modern-day music, food, sports, traditions, and landmarks that make Hispanic and Latin American culture so vibrant. Activities could include:

Cultural Passports Create a personalized travel passport and collect a new stamp for each country visited.

Landmark Builders: Construct models of famous landmarks and design an original landmark of your own.

Art From Many Places: Experiment with art techniques inspired by Hispanic cultures, such as Mexican murals, Andean textiles or Caribbean collage.

Camp World Cup
This week celebrates sportsmanship, teamwork, and global connections through the lens of Spanish-speaking countries and their rich athletic traditions. Campers will train, compete, and create, all in a playful environment. Activities could include:

This week is for curious minds and outdoor lovers! Campers investigate plants, animals, and ecosystems from Spanish-speaking countries and around the world. They'll learn about conservation, habitats, and environmental stewardship. Activities include:
